Dwarf Lake Iris (Iris lacustris), Michigan's State flower, is a threatened North American wildflower found in or near Great Lake Alvars on the northern shores of Lake Huron (on the Bruce Peninsula and Manitoulin Island) and Lake Michigan. The Bruce Peninsula is home to about half the world's Dwarf Lake Iris (threatened in Canada, rare in Ontario), Tobermory, Ontario
